My First Review

How to explain why we like a film? Is there a way to determine beyond any doubt if a film is good or bad? What are we talking about when we say that a film is directed well? The My First Review workshop is here to give answers to these and similar questions and to introduce children to the secrets of a conscious movie watching, the kind practiced by cinematic connoisseurs. After introducing the basic expressive methods of film, an analysis of a specific film from the festival line-up will follow. Discussing about the objectives and their application will provide the children with a permanent tool to articulate judgments and examine the essential and the unique in film.
