In the latest adaptation of the world-famous classic by Erich Kästner, twin sisters Lisa and Lottie meet at a summer camp near Wolfgangsee. Confident Lisa has just come back from Africa with her father Jan. At the camp she is trying to earn money for her tuition, as she is starting a new life and school in Salzburg. Quiet and serious Lottie lives with her mother Charlize in Frankfurt and loves playing the piano. She came to the camp to recover and have fun with other children. About the director Lancelot von Naso
German director, the author of the acclaimed film Waffenstillstand (2009) about war doctors in Iraq, which thrilled the audience at the prestigious Montreal World Film Festival. While studying political sciences and French language and literature in Heidelberg, he developed an interest in film, which he later studied in Munich and Berlin. A passionate chess player. Lotte and Luise is his first film for children.
