Twelve-year-old Marie, a good schoolgirl and a talented cellist, has a secret: she is suffering from a rare optic disorder which causes her to rapidly lose sight… In the middle of the school year her parents inform her about their plans to take her out of school and place her in the Institute for the Blind. However, Marie has different plans. She intends to enrol in a prestigious school of music, so she decides to hide the progress of her illness, but she still needs help. When she realises the class simpleton Victor has a crush on her, she pretends to be helping him with his homework in order to lure him to help her. Little by little, initially without realising it and later deliberately, Victor becomes her eyes.
